The Lion Street Gallery Summer Exhibition
17th June to 27th August
The gallery will be showcasing paintings and sculptures by 25 artists , who mostly work in Wales and the borders, in our large group show. There's a landscape focus to the exhibition ,in a whole array of approaches and media.
Erwood Station Gallery Summer Show
17th June to 27th August
Sixty makers working in glass, metal, ceramic, wood , wax and many more - a whole array of applied art on display. Erwood is Wales' largest, privately owned, contemporary applied arts space.
Exhibition: Colours of the Mountains

Celebrate the changeable and colourful beauty of the Welsh Mountains with Janet Chaplins stunning new collection of original ink works. Demo & Launch Party Sunday 24th July 11am-1pm - everyone welcome.
Janice Day & Martin Litton: the Songs of 1931
20th August
St. Mary's Church HR3 5EB. 7pm. Songs like Mad Dogs and Englishmen & a Pennies from Heaven medley blend perfectly with Gershwin’s Who Cares, Chet Baker’s The Thrill is Gone, Fats Waller’s Everybody Loves my Baby, and Cab Calloway’s Minnie the Moocher. Featuring Innominati & Steve Jones on violin.
The Mad Hatters Artisan Craft Market

With over 70 small businesses now all part of The Mad Hatters Craft Party, we have an ever changing group of makers to show you their very talented handmade crafts. We are an open air event but we have the advantage of also being undercover Free Admission Dog friendly.
A4 Brass Quartet at The Castle

Children's Art Club 11am-12pm. We'll do a different activity each week and completed artworks will be on display as an exhibition from 2nd September - 8th September in the Gallery upstairs at Oil & Oak.

Elvis Presley Tribute Act
27th August
We are collaborating with Hay Hangry and the one and only Kirk Marsh, who is bringing his epic Elvis Presley tribute act talents to the stage at The Globe at Hay. He'll be delivering you two 1-hour sets to provide you with a top-quality night, never to be forgotten.

The Matter of Bookshops Conference
7th September
The Bookselling Research Network (BRN) will hold its first hybrid conference in Hay-on-Wye on the 7th & 8th of September and is open to all. Conference topics include histories, communities, and practice. Full programme is live and can be seen on the BRN website.
The Fitzwilliam @ Hay Chamber Music Festival
9th September to 11th September
The Fitzwilliam @ Hay Chamber Music Festival. 9th - 11th September 2022. The Fitzwilliam String Quartet, The Greenwich Trio, The Hill Quartet, Bows & Bellows and Richard Wigmore. A weekend of inspiring and diverse music from the chamber music repertoire and a fun folk gig in Hay Castle.
Workshop: Print & Make a Lampshade
16th September
Join Rachel from Cabinet Textiles for this immersive day of printing and making. Choose either a pendant or table shade, this all day workshop will guide you though some print techniques for you to create your own fabric designs. These will then be used to make your own lampshade to take home.
Hay Festival Winter Weekend
24th November to 27th November
Hay Festival Winter Weekend 2022 is back in person for a year-end wonderland of conversations, candle-lit storytelling, comedy, music and family workshops around town.
Hay Christmas Fayre
10th December
Special Christmas market with 40 traders throughout the centre of Hay, bringing festive gifts, local crafts, vintage market, food, drink, and songs of cheer. Come and be merry!
