Saturday Markets

Set in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, the monthly Hay Saturday Market is a must-visit highlight from April to October. Held on the first Saturday of each month, this vibrant market brings together over 50 talented traders offering everything from artisan food and fresh local produce to handmade crafts, vintage finds, and unique gifts you won’t see anywhere else. With a lively atmosphere, friendly stallholders, and the stunning backdrop of the Welsh borders, it’s the perfect way to spend a Saturday—whether you’re browsing, tasting, or simply soaking up the community spirit.

HAY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2026

‘The Healing Power of Music’: living in difficult times, our aim for this year’s Festival is to present music that will lift the spirits. We will also be reflecting on how music can contribute to the healing of illnesses, as explored in a film and a discussion between world experts in this field.

Innovative folk artist Hannah James reunites with dynamic cellist Toby Kuhn for a series of live shows celebrating their new album, Where All Our Names Belong. Together they weave a rich tapestry of song, story, and rhythm.
Hay Festival Winter Weekend

Save the dates! Hay Festival Winter Weekend will take place 26–29 November 2026. Launching the best new fiction and non-fiction, offering creative solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, and spreading festive joy in conversations, candle-lit storytelling, comedy, music, and workshops. The full programme will be released in September 2026.
