Saturday Markets

Set in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, the monthly Hay Saturday Market is a must-visit highlight from April to October. Hay Castle Summer workshop program

Taking place during the summer holidays for young people. The workshops are tailored for two age groups, 6 + and 11 +, each crafted to encourage creativity, build artistic skills, and provide students with the opportunity to explore a range of techniques in a welcoming and supportive environment. Sessions are suitable for all abilities, from beginners to more experienced artists.

Prostate Cymru Walk of Wales - Kington to Hay

Local men are encouraged to get tested for prostate cancer at a PSA testing day at Radnor Hills on 1 August. Supporters are also invited to walk the 14-mile stretch from Kington to Hay on Tuesday 4 August to help meet the £300,000 target.

Save the dates! Hay Festival Winter Weekend will take place 26–29 November 2026. Launching the best new fiction and non-fiction, offering creative solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time, and spreading festive joy in conversations, candle-lit storytelling, comedy, music, and workshops. The full programme will be released in September 2026.
