The Globemakers are an established, informal craft group that meet one Tuesday a month downstairs at the Globe. Over the years we have tackled a number of projects, including crochet, mosaic, printmaking, patchwork, festive decorations, glass painting, decoupage and more. Members canalso bring their own ongoing projects, and sharing new ideas and methods is very welcome. The sessions are free, bringing your own materials necessary , but occasionally a £2 maximum charge may be made for specialised materials provided. We communicate by email. Live Music and Performance : The Dancing Floor

The Dancing Floor presents: Dancing the World into Being. The Dancing Floor group presents original creative work exploring myth – film, schools workshops and dance events are in all their portfolio. In this performance, they will offer the chance to visit the otherworld and meet the ancient gods of these islands in an extraordinary creation myth dance, constructed from clues in the Mabinogion. How does something come out of nothing? How do we find what is lost? Do the gods and goddesses live in us or we in them? How did our ancestors see the world and ask the big questions? With specially composed music from the The Village Quire, who will perform an introductory set of ‘songs of life and death’. Visit website

Live Music : Alden, Patterson And Dashwood

Norwich based folk / Americana trio Alden, Patterson and Dashwood weave rich vocal harmonies, fiddle, dobro, guitar and mandolin around beautifully written original songs and melodies. The independently-released debut album ‘Call Me Home’ was written and produced at home in Norwich and is lovingly presented in attractive handmade covers, designed and hand-printed by the band. Their music takes influence from folk traditions from both sides of the Atlantic with uplifting instrumentals and self-penned songs depicting tales of young travellers, sleepy seas and their affection for home.
