The Photographs and pictures included are intended to record the characters, buildings and events of a former way of life.

During the annual Hay Festival of Literature, Pembertons runs the official on-site Festival Book Tent holding the stock for each-and-every event, and hosting signings of all authors; promoting their most recent publications and previous works. Readers and writers gather to share in this exciting week, vibrant with talent and new promise, and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this invigorating and unusual market town.

Pembertons also stocks a wide variety of other works by featured Hay Festival authors and keeps a selection of autographed copies ‘post-festival’ for Mailorder and Visitor sales.

Many hard-to-find new and recent publications by local, national and international writers (for both adults and children) can be found or especially orderd through Pembertons.
