Location. A thousand feet up on a hillside, this newly restored farmhouse and converted barn has spectacular views of the Wye Valley. The property nestles into the hillside around a sheltered courtyard within an enclosed garden of half an acre well supplied with garden furniture. The restoration has been carried out to a high standard using Herefordshire oak in doors and windows and stone flags from a local quarry.
Both buildings are newly tiled with stone from the area. There is parking within the boundary of the property but those who prefer not to drive up the track may park off the road down below.
You can walk in all directions from here and Hay-on-Wye (second hand book centre of the world) is three miles to the west. The Brecon Beacons National Park is half an hour away. Swimming and canoeing on the Wye are excellent and pony trekking is available from several centres near Hay and in the Llanthony Valley.
