At the Town Council Annual General Meeting held on Monday 9th May 2016 Cllr Fiona Howard, was elected Mayor for the forthcoming year. Cllr Trudy Stedman was elected Deputy Mayor
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that HAY TOWN COUNCIL intends to Co-opt members to fill the two vacancies that exist in the office of Councillor for the Town. Expressions of interest are being sought from members of the public who meet the following qualifications and are interested in representing their community on the aforementioned Town Council. You must be a British, Commonwealth, Irish or a European Union citizen and be 18 years of age or over; and meet at least one of the following criteria: (1)registered as a local government elector for the area named above; or (2)during the whole of the last 12 months occupied as owner or tenant land or other premises in the community named above; or (3)your principal or only place of work during the last 12 months has been in the community named above; or (4)you have during the whole of the last 12 months resided in the Community or with 4.8 kilometres of it. The Town Council is keen to make Hay a cleaner place to live and visit and a priority is to reduce the amount of dog fouling on the streets and in other public areas of the town. In order to help achieve this a meeting is being arranged for dog owners to meet with Councillors to see if anyone has any ideas on how to encourage more responsible behaviour in terms of dealing with dog fouling. The meeting will take in the Hay Council Offices on Tuesday 24th May 2016 at 5:30pm. Please come along if you have any ideas. Thank you
