Pull onto a stone gravel circular drive with ample parking shaded by an enormous ancient copper beech tree overlooking the Wye.

Enter an oak boarded hallway and climb the gentle oak staircase to your comfortable rooms. Many original features remain.

We offer 2 twin and 1 single room (wash basins) with T.V. and tea/coffee making facilities in each.

A cot is available on request.

We are open all the year.

Breakfast is served in a spacious drawing room with your own river or garden view.

Perhaps you will spot a nesting swan, the turquoise flash of a kingfisher, an otter coming up for air or a diving dab chick while you enjoy your scrumptious breakfast.

Afterwards, maybe a wander around the walled gardens and peruse the flower borders.

For the more energetic enjoy a game of tennis on our grass tennis court, launch your own canoe from our jetty and feel free to leave your car here while you paddle the Wye.

Have a relaxing stay on your own or bring the children, let them expend their energy on a sunken trampoline and enjoy huge lawns.

If Graham is home there may be a British longbow archery display on the river bank, and participation on certain occasions may be possible.

Use of all facilities is at your own risk and of course children must be supervised at all times.

Coarse fishing available on a daily basis.

If you arrive on a summers evening relax and watch the sun go down over the river Wye.

There are good food hotels and inns nearby for evening meals. We are situated approximately 4 miles from Hay-on-Wye and in close proximity for the Wye river walk, pony treking, canoe hire, cycling and walking in the Black Mountains/Brecon Beacons National Park.

Spacious, secure cycle lock-up available.

Smoking is prohibited in the house, but however, there are designated areas outside.
